Purchasing Agent

Position Summary: Ensure that supplies needed for company operations are obtained on time and at the best price while meeting company specifications and quality standards. All while keeping in line with our Core values.

Position Responsibilities: ·Order shop supplies (Powder, liquid, shop supplies) and maintain ongoing communication between appropriate parties regarding order status·Maintain system to track current inventory of supplies and update quantities, and order as needed.·Display a proactive attitude, and strives to understand and anticipate internal customers’ needs, even when communication is unclear·Reviews powder and liquid inventory daily·Reviews shop supplies inventory weekly·Ensures incoming shipments are verified for accuracy·Ensures incoming supplies are put away in the storage room and keeps it organized·Evaluates suppliers by considering quality, price, service, availability and other criteria·Researches pricing / products for quotes and compares prices from various vendors·Researches powder / liquid new products for quotes·Negotiates contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best values, and payments terms·Verifies purchases by comparing them to a master list and recommending alternatives for expensive or irrelevant products·Interacts with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors·As needed, assists accounting department in various duties such as issuing credit memos, accounts receivable, etc.·Takes an active role in advancing the company’s mission and core values·Other duties as assigned\nCompany
