Position Overview:
Willis Knighton Health is seeking a qualified Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Physician (Med-Peds) to provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan, from infants and children to adults and geriatric populations at a Rural Health Clinic located in Coushatta, Louisiana. The physician will diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, provide preventive care, coordinate specialty referrals, and promote high-quality patient outcomes in a rural healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient primary care services to pediatric and adult patients.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Perform routine physical examinations and preventive health screenings.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
- Coordinate patient care with specialists and ancillary healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
Position requires Medical Degree, its equivalent, or its foreign equivalent. Applicant must have completed an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Combined Residency Program and must be eligible to obtain a Louisiana medical license. Location
