Camp Greenville is an overnight camp established in 1912 that hosts boys and girls from throughout the region and the world for summer camps, retreats and specialty camps. You will get to experience what the great outdoors of Western North Carolina and South Carolina have to offer. YMCA Camp Greenville is seeking a cause-driven leader to join our staff as our Campout & Logistics Coordinator. This individual will coordinate the logistical and programmatic needs for our campout program. They will ensure the safety of all our campout sites, that all materials needed for camping out are delivered, and that adventure trips are packed properly. Under the support of the Adventure Division Leader, this role has the goal of creating a safe, fun, magical, and educational experience during our campout/adventure activities. Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing all campout materials including cookware, utensils, camp stoves, and fuel.
  • Maintain logs for gear being used by camp staff
  • Delivering food/supplies to campout sites during use
  • Working with Adventure Division leader on maintaining food ordering and inventory
  • Assist camp staff at campout sites with building fires, cooking food, and program activities.
  • Ability to work with participants of all backgrounds.
  • Create a magical experience for all campers/guest in program area.
  • Support cabin leader staff when not in program area and fill in for cabin leaders at times.
  • Serve as a role model, upholding our camp values, and working with integrity, creativity, and safety in mind always.
  • Responsible for the health and well-being of the campers mentally, emotionally, and physically, during their time at camp
  • Must approach responsibilities in a fun, creative, enthusiastic, and professional manner.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers
  • Attend/complete required abuse risk management training
  • Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers
  • Follow mandated reporting requirements
  • Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities
Qualifications: CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to obtain by June 2027.Willingness to work on a team in the support of the mission of camp. Ability to work with campers/guests of all backgrounds. At least age 20 by June 2027.
Preferred: Skills/knowledge of outdoor camping
