Air Quality/Environmental Engineer/Scientist/Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities: Provide air quality permitting and compliance technical support to the Aberdeen Proving Ground Environmental Program, permitting and compliance, NESHAPS compliance, Clean Air Act compliance audits, ozone depleting substance compliance, and air emissions inventory Lead routine biweekly and attend quarterly on-base meetings Prepare routine progress reports and meeting minutes Perform and document routine emissions source inspections Maintain an organized and thorough administrative record and action item matrix Collaborate with off-site GES project team and on-base APG personnel Multitask and appropriately prioritize workload Assist in performing technical and engineering studies and problem investigations Work to include, but not be limited to, assisting APG COR with compliance issues for multiple Title V source units/operations throughout the base and assisting with permitting of new operations that are identified Skills & Requirements: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or other Sciences and working knowledge of the Federal Title V permit program Experience working at Aberdeen Proving Ground APG) with a CAC card a plus Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for technical and non-technical audiences.
