The incoming physician will join a group of hematopathologists, HLA/transfusion medicine physicians, and anatomic pathologists to provide exceptional diagnostic and clinical services. Location:
New Orleans, LANew hire will join current physician group of 5 hematopathologists, 6 HLA/transfusion medicine physicians, and 30 anatomic pathologists Integrated health care delivery model with multi-specialty collaboration, large internal referral network and innovative resources Physician-led organizationEPIC medical record platform utilized throughout the health system Shift & Schedule General schedule: 8am-5pm M-FNight and weekend call is shared with hematopathology group
Responsibilities:
- Bone marrow and lymph node interpretation
- Hematopathology consultation
- Flow cytometry interpretation
- Clinical pathology laboratory oversight
- Quality committee involvement
- Medical directorship responsibilities
- Tumor board participation
- Laboratory stewardship guidance
- CompensationSalary is commensurate with experience and training

Qualifications:
- Hematopathology - required
- Molecular Pathology - preferred
