Design Release Engineer

Job Description: Hybrid- Monday and Friday remote.This candidate will ** support the development of interior hard trim and overhead systems for full-size trucks and SUVs. Key components include: Injection-molded interior trim parts Pillar trim components Headliner substrates Overhead systems such as lighting, assist handles, coat hooks, and related components Experience** Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Minimum 4 years of automotive engineering experience. Plastics experience is required (injection molding, compression molding, plastic materials, or interior trim products).Design Release Engineering (DRE) experience. Experience with 3D CAD and engineering drawings. Understanding of GD&T and dimensional analysis. Experience supporting product development, prototype builds, testing, and validation. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Define product requirements and ensure designs meet quality, cost, manufacturing, and performance targets. Create and manage engineering releases, drawings, and design changes. Support prototype builds, vehicle testing, validation, and issue resolution. Analyze fit, finish, dimensional variation, and assembly concerns. Work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready designs.
