Collections & Customer Service Rep$24/hour | Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM | Danbury, CT | Temporary Put your customer service and collections experience to work in a professional office environment! We're seeking an experienced Customer Service & Collections Representative who can build rapport with customers while professionally resolving past-due accounts and customer service issues.
Responsibilities:
- Contact customers regarding outstanding balances and negotiate payment arrangements· Follow up on past-due accounts and support debt-recovery efforts· Partner with Finance and other departments to resolve payment issues· Maintain accurate records of customer communications, payment plans and amounts collected· Prepare status updates on outstanding and collected balances· Respond to incoming customer calls and inquiries with professionalism and compassion· Research account issues, provide solutions and follow through to resolution· Process payments, refunds, renewals, registrations, adjustments and account updates
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of customer service experience· Collections or Accounts Receivable experience· Knowledge of FDCPA guidelines· Strong negotiation, communication and conflict-resolution skills· Excellent follow-through, recordkeeping and attention to detail· Ability to handle sensitive or difficult conversations professionally· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook· High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience If you're professional, personable and comfortable balancing customer service with collections, we'd love to hear from you.
