Job DescriptionJob Description Title: Network Security SME Location: New York, NY Work Arrangement: Onsite Duration: 12-Month Contract Experience Range: 8-10 years Our client is seeking an experienced Network Security Subject Matter Expert to provide technical advisory and solution design support for enterprise security initiatives. This role focuses on SASE and Zero Trust Network Access technologies, vendor evaluation, and implementation planning across a complex technical environment. Responsibilities & QualificationsAdvise on enterprise network security solutions, including SASE and ZTNA architecture and deployment strategiesAssess and evaluate security vendors and products; contribute to vendor selection and business case developmentDesign and document comprehensive security solutions; translate complex technical requirements into clear architectural recommendationsSupport implementation planning and readiness activities; identify technical dependencies and potential delivery risksCollaborate effectively with technical teams, risk and compliance stakeholders, and business leaders to align security objectivesProduce clear technical documentation, recommendations, and decision frameworks for stakeholder reviewMentor and guide technical staff on Zero Trust and identity-based access control principlesProvide ongoing technical advisory during solution deployment and optimization phasesRequirements8–10 years of enterprise network security and solution design experienceDeep expertise in SASE and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) architecture and deploymentHands-on experience with leading security platforms: Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler, Cisco, Netskope, and/or FortinetDemonstrated ability in solution design, vendor assessment, and technology evaluationStrong technical communication skills; ability to distill complex security concepts for executive and technical audiencesExperience identifying technical risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges in large-scale deploymentsProven track record of collaborating across technical, risk, and business functionsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
