Up to 100%We are seeking a Data Center Technician to support rack-and-stack activities, structured cabling, equipment installation, testing, provisioning, and operational support within data center environments. This opportunity offers hands-on work with servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and cabling infrastructure. We are looking for a detail-oriented technician who can manage assigned tasks independently while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and quality. Contract Duration 1 year contract
Required Skills & Experience:
High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience. Minimum 1 year of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, field services, or IT infrastructure support. Working knowledge of racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling. Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices, basic optical networking concepts, and installation standards. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment installation with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality and safety. Ability to collaborate with technicians, project teams, vendors, and customers while independently managing assigned tasks. Valid state ID or driver’s license. Willingness to travel up to 100%, as required.
What You Will Be Doing:
Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure according to engineering designs and installation documentation. Install, route, terminate, label, and dress copper and fiber cabling. Install rack Power Distribution Units (PDUs), connect equipment to assigned power sources, and verify power and management connectivity. Perform equipment provisioning, hardware component installation, and out-of-band (OOB) management connections. Conduct continuity testing, fiber verification, and standard equipment turn-up procedures. Perform Moves, Adds, Changes, and Disconnects (MACD) and standard Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) replacements following approved procedures. Maintain installation records, test results, inventory updates, and as-built documentation. Identify and escalate design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks to senior technicians or site leadership. Tech Breakdown Copper and fiber structured cabling. Server, network, and storage equipment installation. Rack PDUs, equipment provisioning, and OOB connectivity. Hardware testing, validation, and FRU replacement.

Physical Requirements:
Comfortable lifting, standing, working at heights, and moving equipment in a physically active environment. Ability to work on ladders or elevated work platforms and comply with applicable safety requirements and certifications. Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
