Attorney - Operational Compliance Manager

Duration: 6+ months, with potential for extension

Hours: Full-time

Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite in New York City, Seattle, or San Francisco

Compensation: Starting at $95/hour, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement compliance and governance procedures to support the company's growing U.S. operations Establish and maintain compliance best practices, policies, and operational frameworks Assess existing compliance processes and identify opportunities for improvement Develop procedures and controls designed to promote consistent and effective compliance across the organization Monitor regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on the business Support the development of governance structures, documentation, and compliance reporting Provide practical guidance on compliance risks and help develop appropriate mitigation strategies

Candidate Qualifications: Candidates must be able to work onsite two days per week in New York City, Seattle, or San Francisco 5+ years of experience in compliance, regulatory, governance, risk management, or a related field Demonstrated experience building or enhancing compliance programs and operational procedures Strong knowledge of U.S. federal regulatory and compliance requirements Experience developing policies, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks Strong understanding of compliance risk assessment and mitigation Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, growing organization Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Experience working cross-functionally with legal, operations, risk, and business teams is preferredLOD is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
