Family Assistant Our client, a successful tech founder & CEO, is seeking a highly organized, proactive, & personable Family Assistant to support their family in San Francisco. This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys making life easier for others, keeping a household running smoothly, and jumping in wherever needed. The ideal candidate is warm, discreet, resourceful, and highly attentive to detail, with a natural ability to anticipate needs and take ownership. This is a wonderful opportunity to become a trusted partner to a close-knit family, with the potential for the role to grow over time. They are open to a 24-40 hr./week schedule, depending on the candidate. Take ownership of the practical side of a busy family life, keeping household responsibilities organized and moving forward Manage day-to-day household needs, including errands, shopping, returns, mailing packages, supplies, paperwork, and general organization Serve as the point person for household maintenance and projects, including finding, hiring, scheduling, and supervising contractors and vendors Drive household projects from initial quote through completion, keeping track of timelines, details, and follow-through Coordinate household staff, including cleaners, sitters, dog walkers, and other support managing schedules, direction, and payments Manage incoming mail, documents, scanning, filing, and other household administrative needs Assist with hands-on tasks around the house, from dry cleaning and shipping to organizing clothes for travel, setting things up, or whatever else is needed Arrange family travel, including flights, hotels, rental cars, transportation, reservations, and detailed itineraries Help plan and execute family gatherings and parties, including sourcing, vendor coordination, logistics, setup, and support during the event Assist with family logistics, including school-related needs and occasional childcare support as needed Walk and care for the family dog/puppy Interact with family guests and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and discretion Take on a wide range of ad-hoc projects and see them through from request to finished outcome Use technology and AI tools to work efficiently, streamline tasks, and improve household systems and processes Utilize the family's shared task-management system, Notion, to track priorities, communicate progress, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks 3+ years of previous experience as a Family Assistant, Personal Assistant, Household Assistant, House Manager, Executive Assistant, or similar role Fluency in French is a major plus, but not required Valid U.S. driver's license and auto insurance required A true "pitch in wherever needed" mentality and willingness to take ownership of a wide variety of tasks Exceptionally organized and reliable, with the ability to manage numerous responsibilities and consistently close loops Someone who brings order and solutions rather than additional chaos Strong judgment and the ability to know when to handle something independently, when to present options, and when to ask for guidance Highly resourceful and comfortable entering an unfamiliar or messy situation, figuring out what needs to happen, and taking it from there Warm, socially perceptive, and comfortable working closely with a family while also knowing when to be discreet Flexible and adaptable, with comfort around changing plans, unusual tasks, and a role where no two days look exactly the same Extremely trustworthy and discreet; complete honesty and confidentiality are essential Comfortable working around a successful executive who works from home Comfortable with technology and enthusiastic about using AI to work more effectively Work directly with a warm, kind, and down-to-earth tech founder and his family Become a trusted member of a close-knit household San Francisco, CA (Onsite) - Primarily based out of the family's home, with potential flexibility to work from home 12 days per week once established in the role
Compensation: $100-125k base salary depending on hours, skills, experience, and expertise
