Location: Forrest Park, GA Contract- 1 Year Client- Southern Company Services.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Network / Systems Engineer IV responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and support of enterprise communication networks. This senior-level role provides technical consultation, develops infrastructure standards, and ensures secure, scalable, and highly available network environments. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in voice/data networks, wireless services, and network security technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Architecture & DesignDesign and implement enterprise communication networks.
Develop technical standards for network infrastructure.
Architect scalable voice, data, and wireless network solutions.
Provide technical consultation for complex infrastructure initiatives.
Configuration & Implementation:
- Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and security appliances.
- Implement VPN solutions and secure remote connectivity.
- Deploy intrusion prevention and network monitoring systems. Support interface applications and network integrations.
- Security & Compliance
- Manage network security disciplines including: FirewallsVPN (Virtual Private Networks)IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems)
- Oversee centralized management systems for: Patch distribution
- System updates
- Log analysis
- Security reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory security standards.
- Operations & Support
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Support enterprise network availability and performance. Monitor and optimize network traffic and security posture.
- Participate in change management and system upgrades.
Required
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in network and systems engineering.
- Proven experience in enterprise network design and implementation.
- Strong knowledge in one or more of the following: Voice networks
- Data networks
- Wireless services
- Network security
- Experience with: FirewallsVPN technologies
- Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)
- Log management and centralized update systems
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership.
