Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction in manufacturing engineering topics within mechanical and integrated systems engineering programs
Mentor undergraduate and graduate students through academic and professional development
Engage in meaningful scholarly activities related to manufacturing education and practice
Contribute to curriculum enhancement and development of new courses
Participate in departmental and university service activities
Establish collaborative relationships with industrial partners and academic colleagues
Requirements:
Doctoral degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Mechanical Engineering, Integrated Systems Engineering, or closely related field
Demonstrated record of scholarly impact in manufacturing engineering education or practice
Proven leadership capabilities and collaborative experience in professional or academic settings
Advanced teaching and mentoring skills with curriculum development experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Capacity for independent initiative and innovative thinking
Experience in automotive manufacturing or related industrial sectors
Evidence of broad impact in manufacturing education and research
Record of successful project funding acquisition
Demonstrated commitment to university community engagement
Experience with interdisciplinary collaborative projects
History of productive partnerships with industry and academic institutions
Conditions Full-time professional practice faculty appointment
