DRG is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst to join our growing team! The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst will play a crucial role in providing in-depth analyses of DRG's financial and operational performance to executive leadership. This position will focus on strategic planning, financial modeling, and operational reporting to drive strong performance across the organization. The Analyst will collaborate with all departments to identify and communicate key drivers of operational and financial outcomes. Additionally, they will design, present, and maintain scorecards and reports for executive management, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial Reporting: Provide reporting and analytical support to drive sustainable, profitable growth. Budget Process: Assist in the annual and periodic budgeting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment across multiple locations at a granular level. Operational Enhancement: Develop and maintain scalable reporting and analytical tools for all restaurant management levels using industry-standard business intelligence and data visualization platforms to ensure profitability is maximized. Financial Modeling: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess the company’s performance, identify trends, risks, opportunities, and to make recommendations for improvements. Digital Transformation: Lead implementation of new tools and processes to drive efficiency, including transitioning Excel-based reports into dynamic Power BI dashboards. Dashboard Creation and Adaptation: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards in Power BI or Quicksight to provide actionable insights for executive leadership and operational teams. Automation: Identify opportunities to automate recurring analyses, reporting processes, and data workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy. Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes to leverage existing tools, and introduce innovative concepts aimed at driving organizational growth. Assist with ad-hoc projects and reporting as needed.
SKILLS: Ability to interpret financial data and translate into relevant, concise conclusions for executive and senior management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels of management and team members. Capacity to influence without authority. Strong organizational skills and the competence to prioritize within a dynamic environment. Self-starter capable of building analysis from ambiguous information with high attention to detail. Flexibility to adjust to new responsibilities, procedures, or working conditions Proficiency in Power BI or Quicksight for dashboard creation and data visualization. Familiarity with AI-driven analytics tools and willingness to leverage AI for enhanced decision-making. Capability to plan or forecast at different granularities, supporting detailed and high-level budgeting across locations and departments. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: At least 3 years of experience in analytics. Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analytical tools. Understanding of variance analysis when comparing actual to budget. Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial metrics. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office required, particularly Excel, Power Point, and Outlook Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and presentation abilities. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks accordingly.
