Position Summary: Abacus Solutions Group is seeking a Tier 2 Field Service Engineer Journeyman to provide on-site IT support in a federal environment. This role supports end users with hands‐on troubleshooting of computers, peripherals, and network connectivity. This is a customer‐facing position requiring strong problem‐solving skills and the ability to work independently in an office setting.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide Tier 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
  • Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair personal computers and related software
  • Support basic network connectivity and hardware issues
  • Connect devices to existing data networks
  • Maintain trouble logs and documentation in ticketing systems
  • Provide in‐person and remote support to end users
  • Perform minor hardware and software repairs
  • Assist users with proper use of hardware and software
  • Document daily support activities and resolutions
  • Collaborate with staff and management regarding system needs and improvements
