Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

Schedule: Providers must be flexible to work days, nights, and weekends

Call: No call required Patient Volume: Average daily census of approximately 106 patients

Annual Admission Rate: Approximately 34% Shift Schedule Available physician shifts include: 6:00 AM4:00 PM 10:00 AM8:00 PM 3:00 PM1:00 AM 8:00 PM6:00 AM Clinical Environment This Emergency Department provides care for a broad range of emergency conditions, including: High-acuity and critically ill patients Trauma cases, including penetrating trauma Complex medical emergencies Patients requiring transfers and specialty care The practice environment includes: High procedural volume Significant transfer activity from surrounding facilities Occasional psychiatric evaluations utilizing telehealth technology

Responsibilities: Evaluate and manage patients presenting with emergency medical conditions Perform all standard Emergency Department procedures Stabilize critically ill and injured patients Manage complex cases and coordinate transfers when appropriate Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and ancillary teams Provide timely, evidence-based emergency care and accurate medical documentation Support Staff Comprehensive Emergency Department support team All standard ED support services available Pediatric coverage is not included

Qualifications: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) Active Missouri medical license or ability to obtain licensure Current DEA registration ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS certifications as required Extras: Dedicated 24/7 locums consultant to manage credentialing and book shifts for you All travel reimbursed 100% on top of rate Med- Mal and tail coverage provided Generous hourly rate 1099 Independent Contractor Status
