Wetland Scientist

Overview In this role you will lead wetlands-focused investigations within Parsons’ environmental portfolio, applying field expertise to delineate wetlands and assess Waters of the U.S./State impacts. You will collaborate with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to develop compliant permit strategies and alternative solutions. Joining a Growth-focused, collaborative team, you will contribute to infrastructure projects that protect communities and promote sustainability. Compensation / Benefitsmedical coveragedental coveragevision coveragepaid time off Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)401(k) plan Responsibilities Conduct waters investigations including wetland delineations and associated reports Prepare Waters of the U.S./State Reports and secure state, local, and federal permits Coordinate with clients, agencies, and stakeholders on environmental impacts Research and screen project alternatives with respect to environmental impacts Provide regulatory compliance advice and lead project teams Serve as an expert in the field of practice Perform other responsibilities as appropriate Key requirements 5+ years of directly related work experience (Indiana & INDOT specific experience)Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, ecology, or related field Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) Certification preferred but not requiredNEPA knowledge preferred Proficiency in PC and environmental software packages Strong communication and coordination with clients and agencies Leadership and team mentorship Analytical and problem-solving mindset Regulatory judgment and advisory capabilityPC proficiencyenvironmental software packages used in field assignments
