Operating Room Registered Nurse Service Line Coordinator

HCA Healthcare is seeking an RN OR Service Line Coordinator to support surgical services and drive excellence in patient care. In this role, you will coordinate day-to-day OR activities for a designated service line, including case scheduling, instrument and supply readiness, and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams. You will provide direct perioperative nursing care, support staff education and competency, assist with policy and process improvements, and monitor quality and safety metrics. This position is ideal for an OR nurse who excels at clinical coordination, communication, and leading through teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Coordinate daily operations of assigned OR service line, including room readiness and case flow Provide direct perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes Ensure availability and proper use of instruments, equipment, and supplies for service line cases Support orientation, education, and competency development of OR staff Monitor quality, safety, and compliance metrics; participate in performance improvement initiatives Assist with developing and updating policies, protocols, and preference cards for the service line Serve as a clinical resource and role model for best practices in perioperative nursing Facilitate effective communication between OR staff, surgeons, and support departments Promote a culture of compassion, teamwork, and patient-centered care aligned with HCA Healthcare values Perioperative nursing Operating room workflow coordination Surgical instrument and equipment management Case scheduling and preference card management Infection prevention and sterile technique Intraoperative patient monitoring and assessment Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Interdisciplinary team collaboration Quality and safety improvement in surgical services Staff education and clinical leadership Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in applicable state BLS (Basic Life Support) certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred CNOR or specialty perioperative certification preferred 2 years operating room RN experience Leadership or charge nurse experience preferred
