Overview: We are designing the grid of the future! Conduct IFC and as-built IBR dynamic modeling studies in accordance with existing and future ISO-specific requirements and NERC reliability standards, such as PJM's EMT Model Development Guideline for Inverter-Based Resources and NERC MOD-026-2.
Responsibilities: Howyou can make an impact: Perform detailed bulk powersystem dynamic studies using various power system software such as PSCADandPSSE.Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit and dynamic. Perform various compliance technical assessments on IBR facility rating, protection coordination, ride through assessment. Preparetechnical study reports for all studies performed. Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives. Identify training needs and present them to the Engineering Manageras needed. Perform other duties, as assigned. Experience leveraging AI and automation tools responsibly to improve quality, productivity and innovation under Qualifications Bring your passion, here's what’s needed: Master’s degree in electrical engineering with an emphasis in power systems 5years+of experience as a power systems engineer Experience with ERCOT Model Quality Test or equivalent, IEEE-2800, and NERC MOD-026-2 Experience with performing power system impact studies such as Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability Experience with power systems software such as PSCAD and PSSEExperience with automating/programing in Python Experience leveraging AI and automation tools responsibly to improve quality, productivity and innovation under experience Lead the change!
