At SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, an exciting opportunity is available for a PM&R Medical Director to lead and innovate within a growing service line. This employed position with SSM Health Medical Group offers a balanced practice model featuring a mix of inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient care, including exclusive EMG services. The successful candidate will guide an inpatient rehab unit while enjoying a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits. Vernon, Illinois 10-bed inpatient rehab unit Team-based environment working alongside hospitalists for inpatient consults

Responsibilities: Fulfill a well-rounded 1.0 FTE position with 70% inpatient and 30% outpatient responsibilities Offer outpatient EMGs as the only provider offering outpatient EMGs in town Lead and innovate in our 10-bed inpatient rehab unit at Good Samaritan Hospital Serve in a medical director position for approximately 20 hours per week and shape the future of rehab services Work alongside hospitalists for inpatient consults, ensuring comprehensive patient care in a team-based environment Compensation $400K! Plus bonuses! Starting salary of $305,000+, commensurate with your experience Eligible for incentive pay

Requirements: Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA Physiatry fellowship program, combined pediatric/PM&R or internal medicine/PM&R program, OR 2 years of practice in a rehab setting Board Certification/Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Previous medical director experience is not required, but is a plus
