Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Clinic Nurse LPN / CMA role based in Omaha, NE. The person in this position provides direct patient care in a mental health outpatient clinic setting, including taking vitals, updating medical histories, and assisting with medication management under appropriate licensure and supervision. Daily tasks include Overseeing Specialty Clinics or TMS and Spravato which include coordinating patient flow, reinforcing provider instructions, and ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record. The role also involves handling prescription refills according to protocols, managing prior authorizations as needed, and supporting clinicians with injections/ lab draws or other delegated clinical tasks. The Clinic Nurse LPN / CMA collaborates with providers, administrative staff, and other team members to promote a safe, organized, and patient-centered environment.
Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted LPN or CMA credential with appropriate state licensure in Nebraska.
Demonstrated clinical skills in vital signs measurement, patient intake, basic treatments, and medication administration within scope of practice.
Strong documentation and organizational abilities, including experience using electronic health records and maintaining accurate, confidential patient records.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary mental health team in a professional and empathetic manner.
Knowledge of or interest in mental and behavioral health care, including comfort working with diverse populations and sensitive clinical information.
Reliability in managing time, clinic flow, and multiple tasks, with attention to detail and adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Basic computer proficiency, including email, scheduling systems, and standard office software; experience in healthcare or outpatient clinic settings preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited nursing or medical assisting program; prior work in psychiatry or behavioral health is a plus.
