Merchandising Manager, Eyewear

Key responsibilities include: Scaling the Eyewear business by adding to, refining, and improving the assortment across frames and prescription lens offerings Owning the prescription lens strategy — lens types (single vision, progressive, blue-light, readers), coatings, materials, and index options — and identifying the right expansion opportunities to set the business up for long-term growth Working closely with product development, sourcing, and technical design to develop and improve frames and lens quality, and to ensure a seamless Rx fulfillment experience for the customer Partnering with vendors and optical labs to deliver on quality, price, and prescription accuracy Partnering with planning, site merchandising, and marketing to grow the business Obsessing about every aspect of our products (fit, quality, lens performance, price) to deliver for the customer Helping drive the business forward to meet sales targets, customer ratings/return rates, and improved margins

Requirements include: Role is based in San Francisco, California, with a 3 days per week in-office requirement 5–10 years of retail merchandising experience, ideally within Eyewear, optical, or prescription lens categories; luxury expertise preferred Working knowledge of prescription lens technology, optical fulfillment, and frame construction strongly preferredE-commerce and/or DTC experience preferred Proven track record of progressing within an organization and demonstrating continuous growth in roles and responsibilities Product obsessed, with experience leveraging data tools and external sources Critical eye to anticipate customer needs (both the "science" and "art" of retail merchandising)Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with focus on execution, problem-solving, improving processes, and brand enhancement Continuous learner and highly curious; open to new perspectives; proactive when changing course and facing added challenges Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Motivated by a fast-paced, collaborative environment where flexibility to stretch into or out of functional comfort zones is crucial for team success Bachelor's Degree, preferred All posted ranges are reflective of base salary and may vary depending upon experience level and location. Bonus and equity may also be provided for eligible roles. Pay Range $135,000 —$160,000 USD
