This role utilizes specialized inspection equipment, engineering specifications, and quality procedures to identify internal and surface discontinuities while ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements. Shift: 4th shift, Friday-Sunday 5:00a-5:30pShift Differential: $2
What You'll Be Doing:
Perform Computed Radiography (CR) and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) on aerospace and industrial gas turbine components. Set up and operate radiographic and penetrant inspection equipment in accordance with approved procedures and specifications. Verify equipment calibration, system performance, and inspection parameters prior to inspection activities. Inspect components for internal and surface discontinuities, including cracks, porosity, inclusions, seams, and laps. Evaluate inspection results against engineering drawings, specifications, standards, and customer acceptance criteria. Record, evaluate, and report inspection findings and quality data. Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming hardware in accordance with established procedures. Maintain inspection records, image files, traceability documentation, and quality records. Assist in troubleshooting inspection equipment, image quality concerns, and process-related issues. Follow established quality procedures, safety requirements, and standard work practices.
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. At least 1 year of aerospace, manufacturing, quality inspection, NDT, or related industry experience. Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding technical documentation. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and inspection requirements. Experience working with quality systems, inspection documentation, and traceability requirements. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify nonconforming conditions. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and electronic quality systems. Ability to accurately record and analyze inspection results. Ability to obtain and maintain applicable NAS 410 certifications. Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Nice to Have:
Previous Computed Radiography (CR), Radiographic Testing (RT), Digital Radiography (DR), or Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) experience. NAS 410 Level I or Level II certification. Aerospace manufacturing, MRO, casting, or airfoil inspection experience. Familiarity with NADCAP requirements and aerospace quality management systems. FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification. Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. Frequent use of hand tools, stationary equipment, and inspection tools. Requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling components throughout the workday. Requires manual dexterity and attention to detail when processing and inspecting parts. May require lifting, carrying, and moving materials between operations. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and other equipment as designated. Must be able to safely work around manufacturing equipment and airborne particulates associated with blasting and finishing operations. This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
