Mid-Level Real Estate Associate

What You'll Do: Oversee commercial property matters at every step, from preliminary term negotiations to the final signing and funding. Lead diligence workstreams, including reviewing title and survey materials and resolving title issues. Draft and negotiate term sheets, purchase agreements and related transaction documents. Obtain approvals from government bodies, lenders and other third parties, including land use matters. Coordinate with senior attorneys and a wider practice group on client matters. Handle closings and post-closing obligations, and help develop client relationships.

What We're Looking For: Three to five years of real estate transactional practice. Experience handling deals end to end, from structuring through closing. Admission to the Colorado bar, or admission expected within about a month. Graduation from an accredited US law school. A consistent employment history. Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement.

Bonus Points: Experience with land use or zoning matters. Background in property lending, financing arrangements or leasing work. Familiarity with Colorado real estate recording and transfer requirements. Experience with 1031 exchanges or joint venture structuring. Experience at a smaller or independent law firm.
