MRI Technologist

Key Responsibilities: Perform MRI imaging procedures according to established protocols and patient needs. Position patients and MRI coils appropriately to obtain diagnostic-quality images. Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, preparation, and safety requirements. Review MRI safety questionnaires before allowing patients into the scan room. Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure timely transmission to PACS.Complete and update exams, scheduling, and patient tracking information in the radiology information system. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of MRI rooms, equipment, supplies, and accessories. Follow strict MRI safety procedures, including prevention of ferromagnetic materials entering the scan room. Follow infection control policies and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Assist physicians as needed and perform related clerical duties when required. Report equipment issues, repairs, and unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel. Maintain required licensure and certifications in good standing. Participate in required in-services and professional development activities. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology. Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, physical sciences, and MRI physics. Excellent technical and patient-care skills.2 years of MRI experience preferred. New York State License as a Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT).New York State Diagnostic Radiology License. ARRT Certified with ARRT MRI registry. BLS/BCLS certification required. Important Details:8-week contract position (extensions possible)Shift is 10 hrs/day (Wednesday–Friday, 9:30 AM–8:00 PM; Saturday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM), 37.5 hrs/week Location is New York, NY 10029
