This is an excellent opportunity for EM physicians who enjoy community-based practice and working in a rural hospital environment with strong clinical autonomy.
Position Highlights:
1013 shifts per month September coverage includes evenings and nights (3p12a and 10p7a) October December coverage is nights only (7p7a) 25-bed Emergency Department Average daily census of 2024 patients Approximately 2.53 patients per hour 14% pediatric patient volume EPIC EMR system Housing provided plus ferry transportation covered
Practice Setting:
Critical Access Hospital with limited onsite specialty support Seeking physicians comfortable practicing independently in a community/rural environment Scheduled shifts only no call required
Requirements:
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine REQUIRED No Internal Medicine or Family Practice physicians accepted Active Massachusetts license required ACLS certification required DEA required Minimum 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience
