Role Description: The EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation of advanced environmental, health, and safety management systems. This role focuses on high-level regulatory compliance, complex risk assessments, and the mentorship of junior team members. The incumbent will lead cross-functional safety initiatives, manage critical environmental programs, and act as a subject matter expert to ensure operational excellence and a proactive safety culture effective across all assigned locations. Serve as a centralized EHS resource to provide consistent guidance and oversight for multiple manufacturing locations. Standardize safety policies, SOPs, and training programs to ensure uniformity in safety culture and compliance across all company facilities. Coordinate and lead cross-site audits to identify potential risks and share best practices between locations. Oversee complex environmental programs, including air permitting, hazardous waste management, and stormwater protection for all assigned sites. Manage and coordinate regulatory inspections and communications with EPA, OSHA, and state/local agencies across all operational jurisdictions. Provide mentorship and functional guidance to site-level safety leads. Lead high-level incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for serious incidents across multiple sites. Collaborate with operations and maintenance leadership at each facility to drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental metrics. Travel required up to 30% as needed Other duties as assigned

Operational Excellence and Process Optimization: Skilled in improving operational efficiency and reducing costs (Lean/Six Sigma), with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for manufacturing challenges.
Qualifications: Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with experience applying regulatory requirements in manufacturing or industrial environments. Expertise in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) program development, implementation, and continuous improvement, including policy creation and risk management. Proficiency in Accident Investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning to reduce incidents and improve safety culture. Experience designing and delivering EHS Training for diverse employee groups, including onboarding, refresher, and job-specific safety instruction. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and relevant state/local regulations; experience with audits, inspections, and permitting processes. Ability to analyze EHS data, prepare reports and dashboards, and communicate findings clearly to leaders and frontline teams. Experience supporting chemical manufacturing, coating, converting, printing, or industrial process operations preferred. Knowledge of hazardous chemicals, solvent handling, wastewater systems, and industrial ventilation systems is a plus. Why Work at KURZ Transfer Products? Compensation:
  • Pay: Based on application experience. Range may vary outside of post
