Law firm is seeking a Business Development Manager to focus on business development initiatives for their Technology group. This position is open to candidates located in Palo Alto or San Francisco.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior attorneys and firm leadership to develop and execute business development and marketing strategies aligned with firm goals
- Develop and monitor business plans, budgets, goals, and key milestones for assigned practice and industry groups
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities with existing clients and prospects
- Develop targeted pitches, RFP responses, presentations, and other client-facing materials
- Track and report on business development activities, opportunities, pitch outcomes, and return on investment
- Conduct market and competitive research to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for growth
- Support client relationship management efforts and assist with strengthening key client relationships
- Coordinate cross-practice business development initiatives, lateral integration efforts, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, thought leadership, and CLE programs
- Support firm and practice group events, including planning, logistics, communications, and follow-upPrepare and maintain client lists, matter descriptions, website content, brochures, directory submissions, award submissions, and other marketing materials
- Assist with client alerts, newsletters, and other external communications
- Develop and maintain targeted client and prospect mailing lists in coordination with the CRM team
- Work closely with and assist in the supervision and development of business development specialists
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional services marketing and business development experience required; law firm experience highly preferred
- Experience supervising or mentoring staff is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required; Salesforce experience is a plus
