ASCP Anesthesia Technician

Key Responsibilities: Maintain and order anesthesia equipment and supplies efficiently to control costs. Coordinate regular maintenance of anesthesia equipment. Assist with peripheral nerve blocks, epidurals, intubations, intra-operative lab draws, and remote anesthesia services. Support room turnover in procedural areas and help maintain departmental credentialing and CME documentation. Manage scheduling and certification files for BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and onboarding of new providers. Serve as a liaison between biomedical engineering, supply management, vendors, and educational programs. Monitor sterile field and timeout compliance during anesthesia procedures. Assist with anesthesia clinic duties when available. Education An associate degree is preferred for this position. Experience At least one year of experience in a hospital setting is required.

Physical Requirements: This role demands considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 lbs, frequent walking, standing, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.

Working Conditions: Work is performed in an operating room suite environment with occasional high-pressure situations due to trauma and other critical cases.
