This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with clients and wants to grow within a professional public accounting environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting support for clients
- Work onsite at a client location in Englewood approximately 3 days per week
- Answer client accounting questions and provide ongoing support
- Review and clean up monthly QuickBooks activity
- Post and code transactions in QuickBooks
- Prepare bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
- Prepare financial statements
- Reconcile prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and fixed assets
- Assist with tax notices and follow-up items
- Support tax preparation and year-end accounting projects
- Assist with cash tie-outs, AP searches, AR items, and 1099s
- Work closely with clients and the engagement team
- Manage priorities across multiple client engagements
Qualifications:
- Public accounting experience required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Hands-on bookkeeping and accounting experience
- QuickBooks experience required
- QuickBooks data import experience is a plus
- Yardi experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and directly with clients
- Ability to travel to the Englewood client site approximately 3 days per week
