Logistics Coordinator

Key Responsibilities: Coordinate inbound pickups and outbound shipments of ferrous and non-ferrous materials Manage truck and rail transportation schedules Supervise company drivers and subcontracted drivers Coordinate maintenance and repairs for trucks, trailers, equipment, and tires Maintain DOT, DMV, FMCSA, IFTA, and other required transportation documentation Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable safety regulations Monitor shipment schedules and operational needs Communicate effectively with drivers, operations, maintenance, and leadership Assist with load covering and securing as needed

Qualifications: Transportation, logistics, or fleet management experience Experience supervising drivers Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities Experience in scrap metal, recycling, trucking, or industrial operations preferred Class A CDL preferred Valid Medical Card preferred Ability to work evenings or weekends and be on call when necessary
