Responsibilities and Duties: Provide comprehensive eye examinations for adult and pediatric patients. Diagnose and manage a broad range of medical and ocular conditions. Perform contact lens evaluations and fittings. Perform minor in-office procedures, including bump/removal procedures when qualified. Evaluate and manage patients with medical eye conditions. Co-manage surgical patients in coordination with ophthalmologists and other providers. Provide pre- and post-operative eye care as appropriate. Manage approximately 3040 patient visits per day with scribe support. Provide care across multiple clinic locations. Communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff; Spanish-language proficiency is preferred. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records. Collaborate with ophthalmology and other members of the care team to ensure continuity of patient care.

Additional Information: Board Certification: Optometry EMR: Truchart Patient care involves comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, pediatric eye examinations, medical eye care, minor medical procedures, bump/removal procedures, surgical patient co-management, and management of medically complex ophthalmic patients. Patient volume: Approximately 3040 patient visits per day with scribe support. Typical schedule: 8:00am to 5:00pm.
