The Mold Shop Tech maintains, repairs, and improves production molds to ensure equipment remains production-ready and downtime is minimized.
Responsibilities:
Maintains all in-house molds in production ready condition. Schedules mold repairs accordingly to avoid downtime and still produce quality. Works closely with Engineering Department on new molds, revisions, and/or changes to existing molds. Maintains safe and clean operations by adhering to safety procedures and company 6S requirements. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Qualifications Proficient in MIG and TIG welding; industrial technology or welding certification preferred. Skilled in detailed mold maintenance and repair with strong craftsmanship. Able to safely operate forklifts and various tools/equipment (welders, torches, hoists, hand and power tools, gauges, PPE).Team-oriented with the ability to follow instructions, coordinate across departments, and multi-task effectively.
