Travel MedSurg RN

Gifted Healthcare is seeking a Travel MedSurg RN for an acute care facility in Chattanooga, TN. In this role, you will deliver high-quality bedside care to diverse adult populations, from admission through discharge. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, IV medications, wound care, telemetry monitoring, and accurate EHR documentation. Provide direct MedSurg nursing care to adult patients from admission through discharge Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders Document care accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team on care plans Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions Maintain strict infection control and patient safety standards Manage multiple patients and prioritize care in a fast-paced environment Participate in shift handoffs and communicate effectively with staff Adapt quickly to facility policies and workflows as a travel nurse Medical-Surgical nursing Patient assessment IV therapy and medication administration Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation Care planning and coordination Wound care management Telemetry monitoring Patient and family education Infection control practices Interdisciplinary team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Active RN license in TN or compact state BLS certification ACLS certification preferred Prior travel nursing experience preferred MedSurg specialty experience
