Package Handler

Job Responsibilities: Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer. Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors. This is a contract opportunity for the peak season. There are multiple shift opportunities, Day Sort: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM (5 Hours), Twilight: 7:00 PM - 11:30 PM (4.5 Hours), Overnight: 12:00 AM - 4:30 AM (4.5 Hours), Sunrise: 5:00 AM - 9:30 AM (4.5 Hours).

The ideal candidate will have: Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability. Team player and detail oriented. Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. High School Diploma/GEDAbility to pass a background test, as well as drug screening.

Pay Rate: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
