Sr. Analytics & Reporting Consultant
Location: Chicago, IL
Work Arrangement: Onsite/Hybrid Contract: 6+ months contract to hire Contract-to-Hire: Yes
Pay: $59.00/hr on W2 or $118k conversion salary
Position Overview: We are seeking a Sr. Analytics & Reporting Consultant to support healthcare analytics, data engineering, reporting, and data integration initiatives. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams to develop scalable data solutions, reporting datasets, automated workflows, and trusted data assets.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and support data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data integrations, and reporting solutions. Work with large-scale healthcare, claims, pharmacy, eligibility, provider, and population health datasets. Develop and optimize data transformations and analytics solutions using SQL, Python, Databricks, and Spark. Build and maintain data models, data warehouses, data marts, and scalable data lake solutions. Support dashboards, ad hoc analysis, downstream data deliveries, and self-service analytics. Perform complex data inquiries, data profiling, and data quality analysis. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable data solutions. Troubleshoot moderately complex to complex data and technical issues while focusing on quality, performance, scalability, and reliability. Support data governance, security, regulatory compliance, monitoring, and production support processes.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field.4+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, healthcare services, data engineering, business intelligence, statistical analysis, insurance economics, or a related field.3+ years of experience developing and supporting data pipelines, data integration processes, and reporting solutions. Strong experience with SQL, Python, and Databricks. Experience with ETL/ELT processes and large-scale healthcare or healthcare-related datasets. Experience with data modeling, relational databases, data warehousing, and data marts. Experience with cloud-based data platforms and distributed computing environments. Understanding of healthcare data domains such as claims, eligibility, pharmacy, provider, and population health data.
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced SQL, including complex joins, window functions, query optimization, stored procedures, and performance tuning. Experience with Spark and Delta Lake. Experience with Databricks Workflows, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar orchestration tools. Experience building scalable data lake, warehouse, and data mart solutions. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and Dev Ops practices. Experience implementing data quality frameworks, monitoring, and production support.
