Clinical Nurse Coordinator

Mission Health in Asheville, NC seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to provide and coordinate high-quality, patient-centered nursing care. In this role, you will lead daily care coordination, support clinical decision-making, and serve as a resource for the care team. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, care planning, patient and family education, and collaboration with providers and allied health professionals. Coordinate and deliver evidence-based nursing care for assigned patients Lead daily patient care coordination and discharge planning Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes Monitor patient status, administer medications, and perform clinical assessments Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EHR Support quality, safety, and infection-prevention initiatives Mentor and support nursing staff to promote professional growth Participate in performance improvement and compliance activities Clinical assessment Care coordination Electronic Health Records (EHR) Medication administration Patient and family education Care planning Quality and safety protocols Interdisciplinary collaboration Documentation and charting Time management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in North Carolina or multistate compact license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred or obtained within designated timeframe Relevant specialty certification (e.g., PCCN, CMSRN, or similar) preferred Previous charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
