Why This RoleThis is a staff accountant seat where you own the books, not one slice of them. You'll run the accounting for a group of properties and the owning family's trust and individual accounts, so your work covers marketable securities reconciliations, capital calls and distributions, intercompany activity, and NYC filings like RPIE and Certiorari. You'll build year-end work papers yourself instead of passing them up the chain. The company is family-owned and operates its own portfolio, so there's no rotating client roster or outsourced group in the middle. The team is stable, and this hire is planned ahead of a retirement, so you'll get a real handoff. Peak-season overtime is paid, peak-season Saturdays are worked from home, basic medical and dental are fully employer-paid, and CPE and membership dues are covered.
