Role Overview:
Help train next-generation AI systems by producing accurate annotations from drone and maritime sensor imagery. This remote U.S.-based contract role focuses on high-quality real-world imagery, including daylight and thermal formats. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and refine machine-generated bounding boxes on still imagery for accuracy. Identify and annotate objects missed by AI models. Apply labeling guidelines consistently across imagery. Complete annotated images within a secure Navy environment. Maintain reliable throughput of completed images, with compensation based on image submissions. Transition to video-frame annotation as the project scope expands. Document ambiguous cases and communicate guideline questions clearly.
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and consistency in repetitive, accuracy-critical work. Experience with data labeling, data annotation, bounding-box annotation, or comparable data-preparation work. Familiarity with aerial, maritime, or sensor imagery is preferred, particularly daylight and thermal imagery. Experience in high-volume, quality-controlled annotation environments is preferred; robotics or autonomous-systems data-labeling experience is a plus. Comfort using dedicated labeling software and learning new applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
