East Coast – Upper Mid-Atlantic Region | United States We're partnering with an established manufacturer serving the professional construction, industrial, and specialty trade markets to identify an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead sales growth across the East Coast – Upper Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. This is a field-based, hunter-focused opportunity for a sales professional who thrives on developing new business, strengthening channel partnerships, and building long-term relationships with distributors, dealers, independent sales representatives, and key industrial accounts. The successful candidate will have ownership of a multi-state territory and play a critical role in driving market expansion, product penetration, and sustainable revenue growth.
What You'll Do: As Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic territory growth plan while serving as the face of the organization throughout your region.
Primary responsibilities include: Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives. Grow sales through distributor, dealer, industrial, and retail channel partners. Identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships. Build strong partnerships with regional distributors, dealers, buying groups, and strategic accounts. Increase product penetration through training, merchandising support, product demonstrations, and joint sales calls. Support, coach, and collaborate with independent sales representatives throughout the territory. Conduct regular account reviews and develop strategic growth initiatives for key customers. Maintain an active field presence through regular customer visits, sales meetings, trade shows, dealer events, and industry exhibitions. Execute regional product launches, promotions, and sales campaigns in partnership with marketing and leadership. Monitor competitive activity, market trends, pricing, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities. Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and territory performance updates. Partner closely with internal teams including customer service, operations, marketing, and executive leadership to ensure exceptional customer support. The Territory This position supports customers throughout the East Coast – Upper Mid-Atlantic region, including portions of the Northeastern United States. Candidates should reside within or be willing to relocate to the assigned territory and be comfortable traveling extensively throughout the region.
What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate is an experienced territory sales professional with a proven history of growing business through channel partners and developing new market opportunities.
Preferred qualifications include: Proven success managing and growing a multi-state sales territory. Experience selling through distributors, dealers, buying groups, or national retail partners. Strong business development and hunter mentality with a track record of winning new business. Experience supporting or collaborating with independent sales representatives. Background within industrial manufacturing, building products, professional tools, construction products, woodworking, or related technical product markets. Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills. Experience delivering product demonstrations, customer training, and joint sales calls. Proficiency with CRM systems, forecasting, territory planning, and sales reporting. Ability to analyze market trends and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities. Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory. Success in This Role Top performers will: Consistently grow regional revenue and market share.
