Must Haves: Public Accounting experience Active CPAExperience within the nonprofit sector, including work with nonprofit clients (i.e., higher education institutions, foundations, government entites, or other nonprofits Experience with government audits Exposure to organizations with annual revenues ranging from $20 million to $500 million Experience with Consolidated Fiscal Reports (CFRs)

Key Responsibilities: Oversee accounting and financial operations related to government contracts and grants. Manage government contract billing, collections, compliance, reporting, budgeting, and close processes. Lead and coordinate government, Uniform Guidance, CFR, and other financial audits. Maintain strong accounting controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and government requirements. Partner with Finance, Operations, and other departments on financial reporting and contract matters. Support implementation and use of systems including Workday and Salesforce.

Job Description: The Controller will oversee the financial management of government contracts, including accounting, billing, collections, reporting, and audits. Reporting to the VP Finance/CAO, this role will also support the annual financial audit and lead a team in a hybrid environment.
