DSP Shift Supervisor (Fresh Meadows) FT Opportunity

Location: Fresh Meadows, QueensQUALIFICATIONS:Must possess a Driver's License in order to be able to transport resident's as needed. DSP Experience in an OPWDD Certified program (2-3 years or more preferred).A proven ability to work independently and take initiative to prevent and solve non-routine issues as they arise! Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate with medical professionals, family members and colleagues effectively and proactively. Must pass and maintain AMAP & CPR Training. Current AMAP Certification preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: FOR THE SHIFT SUPERVISOR INCLUDE:Perform DSP functions that enable the people we serve to have an awesome quality life that honors their stregnths and choices. (Implement programming, collect data, etc.)Support management by fulfilling quality improvement functions (ie. monitoring and collecting data, inventory/supplies, etc.)Communicate information effectively about the day to day operations to management. Prepare for and attend medical appointments and recreational activities. Administer medication and treatments. Provide ongoing feedback, advocating on behalf of the people we serve and person-centered programming as an active member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
