Non-Commercial Litigation Attorney

Key Responsibilities: Manage a litigation caseload from initial filing through settlement, trial, or appeal. Develop and execute effective litigation strategies designed to achieve successful client outcomes. Draft and argue pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Conduct and defend depositions involving parties, witnesses, and subject matter experts. Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings. Oversee all aspects of discovery, including written discovery, document review, and production. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy. Assess liability, damages, litigation risks, and settlement opportunities throughout the life of a case. Negotiate favorable resolutions and settlements on behalf of clients. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and outside experts to ensure effective case management. Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case developments, strategy, and expectations. Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural requirements, and professional obligations.

Qualifications: RequiredJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license and good standing with the applicable state bar. Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience. Experience independently managing cases throughout the litigation lifecycle. Strong experience with motion practice, depositions, hearings, and mediations. Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. PreferredTrial preparation and courtroom experience. Experience handling complex or high-exposure litigation matters. Background in personal injury, insurance defense, employment law, premises liability, medical malpractice, family law, probate litigation, or general civil litigation. Familiarity with legal technology and case management platforms. Demonstrated success negotiating settlements and resolving disputes efficiently.
