Closing Date: Open Until Filled District: Walker-Hackensack-Akeley ISD 113 Position: Grades 7-12 Business Ed Teacher and Work Based Learning Educational and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment, valid teaching license or the ability to obtain one

Salary: Minimum Salary $60,000

Essential Functions: Preferred certified in Business Education, with a strong background in entrepreneurship, marketing, accounting, and career readiness Experienced in designing engaging, hands-on lessons using real-world applications, simulations, and project-based learning Skilled in integrating financial literacy and career development into classroom instruction Proven ability to coordinate work-based learning programs, including internships, job shadowing, and career exploration opportunities Strong track record of building partnerships with local businesses and community organizations Committed to preparing students for both college and career pathways through practical skill development Focus on teaching essential workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, professionalism, and problem-solving Dedicated to creating an inclusive, supportive, and student-centered learning environment Effective communicator with students, parents, staff and community partners Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple programs and student placements successfully Passionate about helping students connect classroom learning to real-world success
