AI Transformation & Innovation Lead

Key Responsibilities: Lead AI transformation projects from initial discovery and scoping through prototyping, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement. Partner with attorneys and business leaders to identify workflow challenges and develop practical AI solutions. Build and refine advanced prompts, prompt libraries, multi-step AI workflows, and lightweight automations. Evaluate tools for accuracy, quality, and reliability, incorporating appropriate human review and confidentiality safeguards. Drive adoption through coaching, workshops, office hours, training curricula, and practical playbooks. Track usage, adoption, and impact to guide priorities and measure results. Evaluate emerging legal AI platforms and technologies. Collaborate with technology, information security, knowledge management, and professional development teams to support secure integration and rollout.

Qualifications: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission to a state bar; New York admission preferred. At least four years of legal practice experience within BigLaw or a comparable environment; in-house experience will also be considered. Demonstrated hands-on experience with prompt engineering, AI workflow development, or AI tool building. Familiarity with retrieval augmented generation (RAG), workflow automation, and the legal AI vendor landscape. Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives independently and earn credibility with partners and senior leaders. Experience developing or delivering training and explaining technical concepts to nontechnical audiences. Sound judgment regarding confidentiality, professional responsibility, risk, and quality control.
