Cardboard and trash handling and disposal Must safely operate trash compactor equipment and improve efficiencies by timely picking up containers of cardboard and trash. Plant wide housekeeping and organization related to materials, trash, and packaging. Cleaning and maintenance activities including floor scrubber and maintaining of material racks. Be involved in 5S projects in the plant as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: Experience with material handling preferred. Skills and Key Attributes: Must be self-motivated. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. May need to be NORD certified for operating both a sit down and stand-up forklift. Ability to work well with people in all areas of the plant. Ability to work well in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand on feet and move around for up to 10-12 hours per day.
