Key responsibilities:
Process and respond to medical record requests from various stakeholders within required timeframes
Review and validate request documents to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and communicate effectively with clients and providers regarding their records needs
Required qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Release of Information or medical records management
Health information management education and/or credentials are a plus
Proficiency in navigating EMRs and related software tools
Experience in mental/behavioral health is a plus but not required
Strong attention to detail and a focus on process improvement
