Registered Nurse - Cardiac Catheterization LabLocation: Glens Falls, NYAssignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Days (4 10's or 5 8's shifts available)
Job Description:
The Cardiac Catheterization Lab provides care to both acute inpatient and elective outpatient populations. Staff is available 24/7 for emergency procedures. As a Registered Nurse in this department, you will work with an interdisciplinary team of specialized physicians, nurses, radiology technologists, and cardiovascular technologists.
Responsibilities:
Position and immobilize patients on examining tables according to specified protocols.
Continuously assess patient hemodynamics.
Administer conscious sedation and manage IV/IC infusions and boluses.
Alert physicians to any changes in patient responses.
Assist physicians during interventional procedures and manage recovery of patients to Phase I.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
2 years or more of current Cath Lab experience.2+ years of experience in cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. Moderate Sedation Certification is highly preferred. Cath and peripheral experience, including STEMI and STEMI call experience, is required. Proficiency in interpreting EKG and hemodynamic pressure tracings. Conscious sedation and IV experience are mandatory. EP experience is highly preferred. Current New York State RN License, ACLS, and BLS certifications. Why ARMStaffing?
