Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually Commercial Outside Sales Representative Thermotane Propane $70,000 annual base + commission Target total annual earnings: $125,000–$175,000+We can teach you propane. You bring the ability to sell. We’re looking for a personable, motivated salesperson who can create opportunities and close business—not just deliver a pitch. Thermotane supplies propane to restaurants, manufacturers, forklift operators, powder coating businesses, and other commercial and industrial customers. Your job is to find new accounts, understand their needs, and earn their business. Two kinds of selling. One role. Walk in and win business. You’re comfortable cold-calling in person, finding the decision‑maker, building rapport, presenting an offer, handling objections, and asking for the sale. When the opportunity is right, you can take it from first introduction to a closed deal in one visit. Work the bigger opportunities. You can also secure meetings with corporate and government organizations, navigate multiple decision‑makers, prepare proposals, and follow through on sales cycles lasting weeks or months. You’ll manage opportunities from first contact through the sale, working with our operations team to deliver what we promise.

What you need: Demonstrated sales ability. You’ve generated your own opportunities and closed business. People skills. You’re confident, genuine, and comfortable talking with everyone from a restaurant owner to a purchasing director. Curiosity and follow‑through. You learn quickly, take coaching, keep commitments, and stay organized without someone chasing you. Strong computer skills are non‑negotiable. You can confidently use a CRM, email, calendars, proposals, and basic spreadsheets, and learn new software. Propane experience is not required. We care about your ability to sell, learn, and represent the company well. Compensation$70,000 annual base salary plus commission. Our goal is for a successful representative to earn$125,000 to $175,000+ annually.
