Posting details Mayer Brown LLP seeks a junior associate with one to two years (JD 2025-2024) of experience to join its transactional U.S. ERISA practice in Chicago. This practice advises lenders, financial institutions and private investment funds on ERISA compliance matters arising in complex financing transactions, including fund financings, acquisition financings, leveraged finance transactions, bridge loans, and syndicated and bilateral financings – both domestic and cross-border. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and possesses strong writing and analytical skills. Qualified candidates will have excellent law school academic credentials and sophisticated law firm experience in transactional work. We are looking to place exclusively in Chicago and the candidate must be admitted to the Illinois bar. The position follows a hybrid-work arrangement that combines in-office attendance on designated anchor days with the flexibility to work remotely on other days. The salary for this position for the class of 2025 to 2024 is $225,000 to $235,000, although the actual salary could be lower or higher if the candidate’s skills and experience level are different from those specified below. This position is eligible for the Firm’s annual bonus program.
